Giovanni Battista Piranesi was an 18th century Italian artist famous for his views of Rome, especially his poetic interpretations of ancient ruins. This print, from his famous series the Vedute di Roma (Views of Rome), is an exceptionally detailed engraving that would enhance anyone’s collection.
Because of the unique sizes of the original engravings, we offer frames that are custom cut and hand-made for your print. The traditional black and gold frame with a white mat was chosen particularly for this engraving. Frame dimensions are 3/4" wide and 1" deep, and overall frame sizes:
18 1/4”x14 1/4" for the Small
27 1/4”x20 2/3" for the Medium
32 1/4"x24” for the Large.
